How did you get started tattooing?
I started my apprenticeship in 2003. Before that, I bounced between a lot of different jobs and never really felt like I had a clear purpose. A friend of mine owned a shop and asked if I’d be interested in working the lobby. At the time, I had a background in art and graphic design, but tattooing had never crossed my mind as a career. Over time, though, I found myself becoming more and more open to the idea. Eventually, I committed and landed an apprenticeship that lasted two and a half years. It was tough—demanding, unforgiving, and at times overwhelming—but somewhere along the way, I fell in love with the craft. I’ve been tattooing ever since.
What is your collaborative process like? How do you work with the client to identify the right artwork for them?:
I begin every project with a conversation. Understanding a client’s ideas, vision, and personality is essential—not just for the artwork, but for building a strong working relationship. Getting a tattoo is personal, and it should feel right on both sides. I guide clients toward designs that will age well and remain meaningful over time, offering honest input while respecting their vision. Above all, I believe in treating people as individuals, not just as a canvas.
How would you describe your style as an artist?
I am a professional tattoo artist based in a street-shop environment, dedicated to creating high-quality, custom work across a wide range of styles. My practice is especially focused on traditional tattooing, script lettering, and floral designs, though I am comfortable and enthusiastic about executing virtually any subject matter. I prioritize bold lines, strong contrast, and technical precision, working equally well in black-and-grey and color. Above all, my goal is to provide well-crafted, lasting tattoos for clients who value craftsmanship and individuality.
What are you up to when not tattooing?
I’m passionate about drawing and painting, and I take pride in running my shop and supporting my community. Above everything, I value being a husband and a dad.
